Click here for our Virtual Commemoration

Due to current health concerns, this year’s commemoration will be a virtual broadcast on the same day and at the same time as our traditional commemoration. We encourage all in our community to take part in this important observance, as we take time to remember the victims of the Holocaust, to honor the survivors, and to reflect on the lasting impact of this history and these stories of resiliency and hope.

EPHM’s 2020 Yom HaShoah theme is “Courage. Community. Change” and will focus on the 75th anniversary of liberation and the end of the Holocaust through the words of El Paso Holocaust survivors. Many of these survivors are no longer with us, but their words and messages live on and continue to educate and inspire.

To be part of our community commemoration, please join EPHM’s virtual observance on Sunday, April 19th at 2:00pm by clicking here or on our Facebook page.

For anyone unable to take part at that time, the link will remain on EPHM’s web site and Facebook page to be viewed at any time.

We also ask the community to continue to observe Holocaust Days of Remembrance on Tuesday, April 21st by lighting a Yahrzeit candle and sharing an image of your candle lighting on social media with the hashtag #WeRemember.

Though we are each observing this important time at a distance from one another, we are still united as a community.

Yom HaShoah has been generously underwritten by the Jewish Federation of Greater El Paso.
